My city adventure with Twizy

It looks like a UFO, possibly a quad or scooter with a roof, but it is definitly a car, accurately an electric one. Last weekend I had a chance to drive Renault Twizy and it was a memorable automotive experience, that I wanted to share with you.
I used to drive different cars, but nothing is able to compete with Renault Twizy. This ride was just a great adventure.

First of all – its design is so extraordinary, that driving Renault Twizy can not be unnoticed by the other drivers. Its almost microscopic dimensions, no windows and the fact that both driver and passenger can exit left or right side, impressed everyone on the road and attracted attention. Even the motorcyclists seemed to be interested in Twizy.

Thanks to the electric drive, Twizy is very rapid. Manufacturer data confirms that it needs 6.6 s to overcome 50 meters from a standing start. It accelerates 0 to 45 km/h in 6.1 seconds. It takes a little longer to spin up to the full speed − according to the manufacturer it is 80 km/h. I managed to squeeze it out to 85 km/h and it is really the maximum.

Renault Twizy range is about 50-80 km − it depends mainly on driving style… Aggressive driving shortens the range, Eco driving allows you to increase it. Every time I parked Twizy in the garage, I had to connect into the socket – it is the only disadvantage.

This car has two seats and although getting back is not very comfortable, the journey itself, even for larger people, runs without any problems. Besides getting in and out city trip for the whole two is really enjoyable.

Twizy is not an expensive car – especially when we appreciate its eye-catching design and functionality in an urban environment. To make things even easier, Twizy does not have a gearbox (on the left side of the steering wheel you find buttons for forward and backward).
Renault Twizy is a very comfortable car to drive around the town. So if you want an extraordinary and economic car, the choice is simple − buy yourself Renault Twizy.
